11 people face charges after drug bust

Grand Prairie RCMP have laid charges against 11 people after a drug bust.

The investigation started in June by Grande Prairie’s organized crime and gang unit. They carried out three searches in Fairview and Peace River last week.

Mounties seized –quote- “approximately 100 grams of cocaine, seven grams of methamphetamines, 108 grams of marijuana, and 22 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, as well as more than 4 thousand dollars cash proceeds of crime, drug paraphernalia and one firearm.”

Two people each from Fairview, Peace River, and Grimshaw are facing charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking. Charges are still pending against the other five people.
