Officials with Caribou Road Services are cautioning drivers about treacherous road conditions due to the weather this morning.

CRS Quality Control Assistant Sarah Griffith says that a major change in weather has resulted in intermittent freezing rain, close to Toms Lake and along the Alaska Highway between Dawson Creek and Taylor.

She also said some areas have poor visibility due to fog.
Griffith added that road crews will be applying salt, as they travel a maximum speed of 25 Km/hr and will be traveling along the center line of the road.

Drivers are being asked to slow down and follow at a safe distance to give the crews ample space to work.
