The annual Child Poverty Report Card released by the BC Child and Youth Advocacy Coalition shows that the Peace Region has one of the lowest rates of child poverty in BC. The report shows that currently 16 percent of children in the Peace are living in poverty. Fort St. John currently has the lowest child poverty rate in BC with 12 percent of youth living in poverty.
