BC gov’t to eliminate PharmaCare deductible for low income families

The Government of British Columbia says they’re eliminating PharmaCare deductibles for families with the lowest incomes.

In a release, the government says they’re investing $105 million over 3 years in Fair Pharmacare to reduce or eliminate deductibles for families whose household net income is under $45,000. Families with net incomes between $15,000 and $30,000 will have no deductible starting January 1st, 2019. The new policy will reduce or eliminate deductibles for 240,000 families.
