The BC Utilities Commission released their preliminary report into the Site C Dam project yesterday.
Much of the report outlined areas where the commission required more information for the final report slated for release on November 1st. The report does confirm the Site C construction project is on time. The report says they have insufficient information to comment on whether or not the project will finish on its proposed budget of 8.3 billion. The report also says there’s significant variance between the costs provided by BC Hydro and the Deliotte report, which suggests suspending the Site C project altogether.
In all, the BCUC report posed over 70-follow-up questions to BC Hydro, which has until October 4th to respond.
