A vehicle incident yesterday will force the Totem Mall in Fort St John to remain closed.

The crash saw a vehicle smash through three separate sections of the mall, leading to extensive structural damage.

According to the mall’s general Manager, Rob Schlitt, the damage is severe enough to keep the mall closed until at least tomorrow.

The incident is believed to be a deliberate attempt to break in to the mall, though shop owners refused to comment on whether or not any goods had been stolen.

An investigation is on-going and the mall will remain closed until repairs are made.
