A Dawson Creek man has been charged with first degree murder in connection with the death of a Prince George man last spring.

27-year-old Jared Jorgenson of Dawson Creek, along with 20-year-old Joshua Fleurant of Prince George, and 26-year-old Ryan Watt of Vancouver, were arrested over the weekend and charged in the death of 20-year-old Michael Bonin.

In April of last year, RCMP were called out to a forest service road north of Hope where the body of Bonin was discovered. After a nine-month investigation, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team announced the charges. They also say the victim and the three accused were known to each other.

The three accused men appeared in court yesterday in Kelowna.
