Kids attending Don Titus Elementary School will soon have new playground equipment to play on.

Yesterday, the school announced that they’ve received a major grant from the TransCanada Community Investment Program to the school’s playground replacement fund. The money will allow the school to purchase new playground equipment, replacing the aging equipment that the children currently use.

Several local companies were co-sponsors of the project, including LakeView Credit Union, Allnorth Consultants, Rat Race Contracting, and the District of Chetwynd, among others.

The playground will be installed by School District 59, and the school hopes it will be ready for September of 2018.
