Five Elk Illegally Shot at Near Hudson’s Hope

The BC Conservation Officer Service is investigating after five elk near Hudson’s Hope were illegally shot at on private property from a nearby vehicle without the property owner’s approval. CBC News reports saying that the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday evening after the property owner heard multiple gunshots. The property owner then saw multiple men shooting at the elk. The owner confronted the group of men however they drove off immediately. Four out of the five elk died with the fifth suffering from wounds.
