Those flying home to Fort St John for the holidays from Vancouver were hit with a scare during their flight yesterday.
Air Canada Express Flight 8185 was bound for Fort St John yesterday, when it began to experience pressurization issues in the cabin.
After first noticing the issue 40 minutes in to the flight, pilots attempted to salvage the trip by dropping from 24 thousand feet to just over 10 thousand.
When this didn’t provide enough of a change to safely continue the flight, the plane was forced to turn back to Vancouver.
After 2 and a half hours, the plane was back on the ground at YVR.
The cause of the issue has not been determined as of yet, but is assumed to be a mechanical issue.
