The North Peace Secondary School in Fort St John was placed on a precautionary hold and secure yesterday due to a police situation. Sgt. Dave Tyreman says RCMP received a report of three teen males and a teen female walking southbound on 86th Street near the school. One of the callers said they believed one of the teens had something concealed under their coat. Officers attended the area to search for the group of teens, all while keeping in contact with the school to make sure everyone was safe and no one was allowed in or out. Mounties eventually located the suspects near Toboggan Hill Park and discovered that one of the teens had an axe concealed underneath their jacket. The investigation into the incident is still continuing.
