In an update on a previous story, the Association for the Protection of Fur-Bearing Animals plans to appeal the decision made by the B.C. Supreme Court that a Conservation Officer’s authority to kill extends beyond what is stated in the Wildlife Act.
The ruling was made in December after the non-profit sued B.C. Conservation Officer Micah Kneller for euthanizing a black bear cub near Dawson Creek in May 2016.
The appeal was filed last Wednesday.
