The winter chills will be in full swing this weekend. Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for the north Peace, and the South Peace won’t be much better.
Temperatures are expected to hit more than 30 below, feeling in excess of negative 40, as early as tonight and stay that way until the new year.
This means conditions such as hypothermia and frost bite, can develop in just moments on exposed skin.
Residents are being urged to bundle up, and stay indoors as much as possible over the weekend.
