Are you prepared? Severe weather can happen anytime! CRS along with the municipalities have patrols over the next two days.
Ensure that you have enough supplies (food and medicine) to last at least 72 hours, move equipment and livestock to high ground and consider sandbagging your structures if you were impacted in 2016.
Please note that you can be prepared by getting sandbags at various locations.
In Chetwynd, filled sandbags are available across from the water filling station at the Chetwynd Public Works Yard. The Wild Fire Crew known as the Northern Fire Attack Team are filling sandbags over the next 2 days. Thank you to the province for the assistance.
The PRRD has delivered sand and sandbag bins to the following locations:
•Moberly Lake Fire Hall
•Yips Subdivision on Moberly Lake
•Dokie at Compass Services
•Ivor Johnson Park in Hasler
•Tomslake Fire Hall
•Tupper Community Hall
They are also at CRS Public Works yards.
